Hands-on Learning with a Camelidynamics Practitioner
Camelidynamics Practitioners help owners and handlers learn more efficient llama and alpaca handling that is safe, fun, kind and respectful. Practitioners set their own policies and rates for lessons and clinics. Choose the learning method that is right for you:
Private Lesson: In this intimate setting, ideally on your ranch, you can get help not only in your skill acquisition but receive on-going lessons and coaching with any challenging animals. (AP, P, P1, P2)
Small Group Lesson: Team up with other area llama or alpaca owners to share the cost of hands-on lesson. Design a series of lessons rotating from one ranch to the next. (P, P1, P2)
1-Day Intro Clinic: Through lecture, demonstration and hands-on coaching, participants are introduced to Camelidynamics concepts and techniques including herding, catching, haltering and the importance of balance and body position to manage animal movement. (P1, P2)
2-Day Basics Clinic: Through lecture, demonstration and hands-on coaching, participants learn the basic concepts and techniques of Camelidynamics including herding, haltering, halter fitting, leading, body position, barn arrangement, husbandry and herd management. (P2)
Free Lesson: Apprentice Practitioners must teach 3 free practice sessions as a part of their educational requirements. You can get instruction while helping an Apprentice develop important teaching skills. (AP)
Free Workshop: Practitioners must teach 2 Free Workshops as a part of their educational requirements. You can get instruction while helping a Practitioner develop important group leadership and teaching skills. Also consider hosting a Free Workshop. (P)
