* This doesn't exactly fit in this category, but I couldn't see where else it could go!

My name is Cathy Bradford of Discovery Llamas. I 've been working with llamas for the past 11 years in many capacities. I started out with a friend who had a llama, then began showing them in 4-H, then moved up through the ALSA ranks, worked with rescue llamas and have become very involved with training. I have judged some shows and hope to go through my officiall Judging certification soon. My hope is to begin putting my foot in the door with some of the organizational aspects in the next couple of years!

Later this spring a friend of mine and I will be making a cross country trip from Ohio to Wyoming ( by way of Indiana, Illinios, Iowa, and Nebraska) to work on a pack llama ranch (Highline Trails!). We have come up with an idea that we think would be fun for a lot of people. We thought it would be fun to visit with some farms and llama people along the way. It would be an interesting way to connect with people who obviously share the same interests! I know how much I love it when people come to our house to talk llamas and I always enjoy seeing how other people work with their animals. We look to be traveling in late March or early April. I'm not sure of the farms that would be along the way, but just wanted to see what other llama enthusiasts thought of our idea! Hope everyone is surviving all of the crazy weather and tragic circumstances that this winter is throwing at us!

If you are interested or know someone who might be feel free to either respond here or email me at catllama@gmail.com

Hi Cathy - I would love to have you visit my farm, but I am in NJ and you will not be going through my state. However, if you are ever in my neck of the woods, please stop by!

You are welcome here in Bend OR and if you are thinking of coming make sure to have a look at my calendar and visit when I am home. The internet could be helpful in planning your route. Map quest and googling llama owner addresses. Hopefully more of our guild members will see this and respond too.

First off I would like to thank you for both of your offers! If I ever make it to Oregon or New Jersey I will be sure to look both of you up! And if you ever find yourself in Wyoming feel free to contact me!

I think more details might be helpful. Here is the basic game plan of our adventure. We will be taking I-70 from Columbus, Ohio to Indianapolis, Indiana, then we pick up I-74 to Peoria, Illinois. We then follow I-80 all the way to Rock Springs, Wyoming. We are willing/happy to make changes based on what offers we get! We plan on resting near the Illinios/Iowa border, mid-Nebraska, and then our final night should be in Norther Colorado/ Southeaster, Wyoming. We have had a couple of farms open up and offer us beds for the night. Both myself and the friend traveling with me were extremely grateful for that. I will be fresh out of college so saving money where ever possible is amazing! We plan on setting out the first Thursday in April. But if we get more farms we may leave a little earlier extend our trip.

I have been planning on keeping a journal and taking lots of pictures.

Thank you Again for the offers! And I also hope that we can find some more farms to stop at!:)

Didn't ck out your exact route and am new to GA but we are just outside of Atlanta, GA so if you do come this way, or close, you are welcome to stay. No llamas here (yet) but alpacas to welcome you. Terrill
