I just wanted to say how wonderful this new site is and to thank you for starting it. I really enjoyed the Basic class, even though it was hot and hope to get a chance to put some of the things I learned to practice in the near future.
I realized when I got home and was petting my two kitties, that this is the touch you were talking about. I just wish alpacas purred the way kitties do so we would know when they're happy! :)
See you again late August.

Hi Joyce,
I understand what you wrote. It would be nice to have something really obvious that says "I'm enjoying this very much". My two newest llamas were started with the TTouch and I feel their equivelant of a "purr" is the fact that they stand quietly, w/out restraint while I touch them. If they weren't enjoying it, they are unhaltered and could easily step away, as do my boys who aren't quite there yet. ;)
I have to admit touching my animals often makes ME want to purr. :D
All the best

if you cat lovers out there haven't read it yet I did an exhaustive :) treatise on the similarities of cats and camelids it is posted in the library at

among other things they are both copulation induced ovulators and breed laying down pace at a walk etc. It was great fun to write.
